Killer acoustic version of one of my all-time favorite songs... the year I was born.

Interesting note about Under the Bridge:

Anthony Kiedis wrote the lyrics of the song as a poem in his personal journal after he'd been on a long Heroine binge.  He'd missed multiple band practices and (rightfully so) the rest of the band ostracized him for a time.  The opening lyric "Sometimes I feel like I don't have a partner, sometimes I feel like my only friend, is the city I live in, the City of Angels, lonely as I am, together we cry." was written as he was driving home from the practice the other members wouldn't let him participate in.  It's a hauntingly beautiful glimpse of Kiedis' sensitivity and lonliness.

Kiedis never thought anything of the poem/lyrics.  It wasn't until years later when he let producer Rick Rubin page through his journal that the lyric was "discovered." Rick encouraged Kiedis to show it to the band (he was too embarrassed to).  The band took to the lyrics immediately and one of the greatest songs of all time was born.
